Watermelon Taffy Anyone?

Now that I have gotten back my craft room (long story) my brain just won't let me rest!!

Here is one of my crafty addictions........ making Whipped Soaps!!!
I don't know what it is about it but I just love making them! I think it's the freedom of creativity I get to have when creating a loaf. It's kind of like decorating a cake where you add a sprinkle here and a rosette there and it all just comes together.

The bar I'm going to feature is called Watermelon Taffy.
It has notes of watermelon, cotton candy, musk, taffy and vanilla. Not at all over powering but very uniformed and fun!

I hope you enjoy <3

Fruit Pizza Tutorial

Yum, Yummm and Yummers is what I received when I made this.
I have no clue on if this is more bad for you than good, but if you are like me and don't really care about calories, then I'm sure you will love this!

First order of business is what you need to get this started!

As a baker people tend to think that EVERYTHING we do is from scratch but guess what? From time to time we cheat and it's okay!! Being a mom with children, my day often does not allow to make everything from scratch and sometimes the premixed bags or boxes help out more than anything.

So here we go!

Ingredients:
1 Snack Size bag of Betty Crokey Sugar Cookies (you can feel free to use a regular size but understand that you will have a lot of cookie mix left over)

Set these items to the side:
1 8oz softened block of Cream Cheese ( I use generic)
1 4oz container of Yogurt (and flavor you like, I used strawberry)
1/3 cup of Confection Sugar (optional)
1 small can of crushed pineapples

Various berries & fruits of your choice

One pizza pan covered in aluminum foil

Oven set to 350*

You first want to follow the instruction's on making the Sugar Cookie. Once the mix is ready, if you have used the Snack Size pack dump it all on the pizza pan and if you have used a regular size mix, use 1/2 of the dough on the pizza pan.

Starting from the middle, ease and flatten your dough out towards the edges of the pan and don't be afraid of it!! It's dough and "not" supposed to be perfect.

Once you have your your pan fully covered with the cookie dough bake it up! I baked mines about 2 minutes pass the time suggested just to get a harder cookie. If you burn it, it's okay too because the mixture you add on it will soften it up.

Once the cookie is done you can let it sit and get cool or cheat like I do and stick it in the freezer for about 10 minutes.

Now that we have that out of the way here is the fun part.
Now most people have their own way of making a mix but because I like you all so much I'll share my recipe for the most awesomest mixture you will ever taste!

In a bowl (I use a kitchen aid) start to whip up your cream cheese until it's nice and smooth

Then you want to add your yogurt.
Now once you do that you will see it start to look like it's trying to curdle up but keep on blending it and you will see it come right back together. Nice and smooth!

Next you want to add the juice of the pineapple. No need to use a strainer, just open a small part of the can and let it juice come on out!

Once that's nice and mixed just dump the rest of the pineapples in and mix once again! It doesn't have to go on for a long time just to incorporate the pineapples into it.
Quick thing, the reason why I used the crush pineapples is mainly because it's easily mixable and give you nice little chunks!

Last but not least, on low start to add in your Confection Sugar!!
This step is just to add some sweetness to the full mixture. Everything else is tart so this help balances it out. Feel free to omit this step if you are watching what you are eating!

Also you will have more mixture than needed for one Pizza, so feel free to save the rest for a rainy day or do what I do......... late at night when the house is sleep, sneak in the kitchen and take fresh fruit and dip it into your own personal taste of heaven. You can thank me later, lol.

Now that everything is mixed, blended and ready to go, start spreading as little or as much as your like to your cookie crust.

Now here comes the creative part.
Take your fruits and decorate them how every you like!
As you can see, I used black berries, strawberries and banana's and with the added flavor of the pineapples, everything blended perfectly!

To store it just stick it in your fridge with plastic wrap over it. It should last about 3 days but I seriously doubt that it will. In my house it lasted less than 24 hours.

I hope you found this helpful and that while it's not 100% healthy, I hope you enjoy it as much as me and my family did.

Also feel free to come by my Facebook Fan Page and let me know how it turned out!

Until next time
Hugs & Love
